The Supplier Quality Engineer will provide technical leadership to the Supplier & Outsourced Partner Quality Team to deploy the Shutterfly Supplier Quality Manual, auditing Suppliers & Outsourced Partners, Data Analysis, Supplier Corrective Actions & Quality Improvement Projects.
What You'll Do Here:
· Serve as a subject matter expert in quality engineering for suppliers & partners to significantly improve quality performance, implement process controls, quality plans and other quality tools to improve quality metrics
· Identify and drive strategic quality improvement projects for suppliers & partners to significantly elevate quality performance and operational efficiency and validate effectiveness of improvement projects
 · Create, review & manage supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) for effectiveness
· Provide advanced technical support and strategic guidance to partner managers, manufacturing teams, and cross-functional stakeholders on quality reviews, data analysis, and continuous improvement project management.
· Lead the development of comprehensive quality plans, including raw material qualification, process qualification and execution during New Product Introduction (NPI).
· Drive manufacturing projects with complex root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives, offering leadership in continuous improvement methodologies and advanced technical solutions.
· Drive the MRB (Material Review Board) process to secure supplier chargebacks and implement supplier improvement at a manufacturing site level
The Skills You'll Bring:
· 5+ Years in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Engineering with a proven track record in driving quality improvements and innovation in a manufacturing environment.
· 5+ years of experience in statistical analysis, and/or project management leading large-scale quality improvement initiatives.
· Experience within Supply Chain Organization preferred with expertise managing supplier relationships and ensuring that quality systems, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives are executed effectively.
· Proven expertise in applying Black Belt methodologies within a supply base organization
· Expertise in quality tools including APQP, Quality Auditing, Root-Cause Analysis, Corrective Action, 8D, Mistake Proofing, Quality Standards, Control Plans, Process Controls, Pareto, Ishikawa, First Article, FMEA, Lean Principles
· Expertise in managing supplier relationships and ensuring quality systems, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives are executed effectively.
· Green Belt certification is required with Black Belt certification preferred
 · Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Statistics, other technical degree with equivalent relevant experience
