Sr. Finance Manager is a key member of the Shutterfly Financial Planning & Analysis team. Candidate will be a Business Partner for the VP of Supply Chain & Procurement. Candidate will also have responsibilities to support other strategic and operational projects that span across several functions (Commercial, Operations and T&D). A successful candidate will be highly analytical with the ability to create complex models and lead a team of managers and analysts.  Additionally, this person will be responsible for analyzing and presenting key business insights and recommendations to the finance team and senior business leadership.  This position reports to the Director of Finance.
Key Responsibilities include:  
  • Key business partner to the VP of Supply Chain, providing financial insights and support. Developing and maintaining financial models, reports, and analyses to support business objectives.
  • Primary leader for forecasting, reporting and analysis of transportation/shipping spend for all Shutterfly brands. 
  • Preparing weekly outlooks and monthly budget vs actual spend analysis to explain variance impacts. 
  • Responsible for providing shipping cost per unit for all Shutterfly products. This includes preparation cost per unit as part of AOP, rolling forecast and actual. Support other Shutterfly costing initiatives.
  • Interface with Commercial teams across all brands to provide finished good level costing and explain deviations from AOP and Forecast.  Provide YoY analysis and explanations.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams in the design of financial reports and key business KPI’s. Analyze large transactional data sets, interpret, and summarize the data for metrics reporting and business insights highlighting trends and anomalies to management.
  • Lead and participate in process improvement projects and cost reduction initiatives.  Projects will span across several functions (T&D, SCM, Operations and Commercial).
  • Collaborating with the Company’s Accounting team and interfacing with shared service team members on month-end and quarter-end close, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial results.  
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis in support of Corporate FP&A requests, as needed.
  • Support the VP of Finance and CFO in special projects.  
  Experience & Requirements  
  • B.S. degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
  • 10+ years of financial planning and analysis experience in a large growth company.  Ideal candidate has experience in Commercial, Manufacturing/Supply Chain and R&D functions.
  • Experience being a business partner for with responsibilities for $100+M spend.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize data to aid management in achieving strategic and operational goals.
  • Ability to comfortably work with senior level management.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience should include reporting responsibilities and analytical projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
